The codes for almost every device from major manufacturers are in a database in the software, and you can always use the dedicated remote to teach the universal remote codes that aren't in the database. There are settings for those that do and do not have a sub-woofer. I have heard both these machines in stores and the moded 775 sounds better with my system I think. It was less ''musical'' but I found myself hearing the music so clearly that I wasn''t listening to the player or it''s effect on the music. Now let's see you guys get some more music out there. So I have a good standard of comparison.
The remote and front panel functions are flexible and intuitive much better than my Krell here. It runs from the low 200s to about 300 dollars used. We know that top quality is a necessity of yours, we provide top quality. This is a first impression review, since I've only had mine about a week, but since nobody's submitted one I thought I'd put my thoughts out here. Remotes such as the 700, 850 and 950 allow you to name and program additional buttons for any function you want, so you don't need decicated function keys pre-labeled for everything.
Normally I'd wait longer than a month before posting a review, but since this player is about to be discontinued, I thought I'd get my thoughts down for those considering a purchase. They are bright and not best with classical. The sound is good but lacks a good bottom end, mid-range is okay, and the high end is crunchy and frail when compared to better more expensive machines. Features The most important feature here is the bass management capability. One problem with these speakers is that they clearly and dynamically reproduce whatever goes in to them.
His website if you''re interested is: www. It''s a bargin at the price. Every function has been confirmed working. There is a lag between when the play button is pressed and the music starts. We will revolutionize what it means to shop online, as well as what it means to buy refurbished products.
I can say that the set up for surround appears to be easy to use and very flexible for different kinds of speaker setups. Anyway at the price, the 222 was hard to resist. More bass and dynamic range. High praise but I''m still not won over by the ''sound''. The unit is very solid. I'd have to agree with that providing all sources are created equal. For the best quality sound, all of the sound manipulation capabilities, computer chips and other various bells and whistles are totally bypassed when connected through the six channel set. Just imagine; soul-stirring musical performances reproduced with exceptional accuracy, delivered to your ears from all angles via six discrete channels of ultra-high-resolution audio! This means the player from Sony can use your favorite artist's album or one you mix personally. Almost certainly, if you're prepared to spend the money for it. As well as extremely rare and one of a kind items.
After listening to it for a few weeks I went back to the Philips and Toshiba, and let me tell you there was a definite difference. Unplug the player from the wall outlet if the tray remains stuck. If Marantz can put a faster, quieter one in a player that costs less than half as much, why can't Sony? Think of the sound of an electric guitar. I set it up and let it play for about a week straight in repeat mode before making any real judgements on the player. This model has been discontinued, but I found a display model at a lacal Best Buy. I cannot report on this because I have no use for this feature.
