Mazda needs to stand by this problem!. The ignition coils have all been replaced now as well as the pcm and now I am told it needs the pcm to be replaced again. The vehicle would not restart and was towed to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. Could that error code from the sensor have anything to do with the transmission issue or just a coincidence? I'm hoping that it's not serious, could it be a sensor or solonoid? He asked if he could keep it over the weekend. The number one most common problem is related to the vehicle's transfer case 48 problems. Engine light came on and car immediately drove as if it were not operating on all cylinders. .

Dealer replaced the transfer case under warranty; problem is resolved. We then took it to the Mazda dealership which then replaced the pcm and another coil. Doesn't get code on engine side. On test drive manually shifting everything is fine including reverse. Anyone have any experience with this type of issue? Take car to my local mechanic. He told me to bring the car to the dealer and argue that it should be covered under warranty. They replaced the coil but the problem persisted and we still were unable to drive the car. Where dealers will sometimes push to cover something like this out of warranty is when you've been a regular service customer of theirs.
