Its the latter half where the film gets a new makeover and has a totally different feel from what we saw in the first one hour. There is a feel good factor in the film for most of the pre interval portion and from thereon it is an extended narration of the story that somewhat makes the flow of the film slow and boring as well. Songs of Life of Josutty is beautifully sung by Vijay Yesudas, Shreya Ghoshal, Najim Arshad and Sangeeta Prabhu. Mr Joseph should know that his unschooled protagonist fails at playing life this time because maybe education is after all important. The storyline has slight similarities with Renjith's 'Kadal Kadannoru Mathukkutty' and even tallies as far as the height of boredom too is considered. The movie running for a straight three hours, could have undeniably used a bit of trimming.
Mele… Melle… Melle Mukilolangal pole Kadum pulmedum kaumaram choodiyoo… Swapnam enn kannil. Title Lyrics Singer s Length 1. It flows smooth like a river. Before I talk more about anything else, I want to inform you that throughout the film the only thing I wondered was if the camera was being handled by an infant. Josutty is a sixth standard dropout and from a poor background, the reason why Jessy's dad refuses to marry her off to Josutty.
I felt no pity for the primary characters nor did I care if Josutty put his P in a V. Jeethu's characterisation of Josutty couldn't have had a better actor than Dileep. This led him to make clarifications, stating that there are no twists or suspenses here. The flow is smooth in the first half which is made interesting with comic sequences. Much expectations from Jeethu Joseph after 'drishyam' wasted.
Mele Mele sung by Shreya Ghoshal is my personal favourite among the four songs. Also in first half too some village sceneries like in 'drishyam'. If you want to see some parts of NewZeleand ,then the second half of the movie will help you out. Jeethu Joseph after Drishyam and its Tamil remake return with a somewhat ordinary and simple film. Jessy was ready to go against her father and marry Josutty, but he doesn't want their families to suffer because of them.
This is just one of the few things that he has to let go. After the marriage, he travels to in New Zealand to join his wife. Entrusting the character of Josutty in the hands of Dileep was a safe bet as the actor has portrayed the role with ease without making it look a dull one. Life of Josutty , unlike typical Dileeep's slapstick comedy movies, is full of life. Why don't people just hire Jomon T John?. All those simple and humorous situations takes a backseat as the film shift its primary location from the village of Kattapana in Idukky to the scenic beauty of Auckland in New Zealand. Even as he plays the third hero of the movie after Jeethu and Ravichandran, his role is the one which will stay in your hearts.
The film is co-produced and released by , it is their debut production and distribution in Malayalam cinema. This 46 year old star, having acted in more than 100 malayalam movies, is synonymous with these down to earth types of roles. Brought up in a poor, lousy environment, all that Josutty wants from life is to marry his childhood sweetheart Narayanankutty and get laid. His friend Priya and Devassy helps him to run a restaurant and he slowly grows economically. His portrayal of a simpleton, doing everything right by his heart, smiling all the way through, making you cry as and when he does, is something that is not new to him. Definitely, this movie deserves a spot in top 10 Malayalam movie for the year 2015. This is his life, where-in he revers his father, loves his mother and sisters, and always takes things in his stride.
The title protagonist in Life of Josutty Movie is one such character and the film wants to convey this self realization for him. In the first half, he doesn't. Ormayilodum poygathan alagal … Iniyum enne thodan kaineetiyengil…. As a child he desired to become a priest. Overall,Life Of Josutty is a totally disappointing flick that can even test one's limits with its never ending second half. The story sheds some light on the truth that we humans are little bit selfish about our own priorities - which is not necessarily same for everyone. He falls for Priya and works for nine years in New Zealand.
Josutty by nature is a God fearing man, very good at heart and down to earth. He later gets married to a girl named Rose, getting to know her through a matrimony ad in a newspaper, who is currently divorced and living in New Zealand. After a gymnastic performance by the cameraman through the valleys of high-range Kattappana, the story about a 6th grade failure named Josutty Dileep begins. Nevertheless, the way the film is executed using cliché, is what sabotages the whole shindig. But he falls in love with Jessy , his neighbor and childhood friend. I wonder why 'NayanTara' came for a cameo role here.
