This includes her time in China training under ultra strict traditionalist martial arts legend Pai Mei — who has a taste for brutal action, and a super-secret technique that can take out any opponent, and how she got to be where she is. Hugely enjoyable with a neat end of film cliffhanger, roll on part 2.
It's all leading up to the ultimate confrontation with Bill, the Bride's former master and the man who ordered her execution! What a brilliant tension filled scene. She, before, decides to seek retribution upon the five house who finished her period and killed her baby. It could have been trimmed down, particularly in the middle section where Tarrantino deals in a calm before the storm ideal, but Volume 1 was one of the most exciting movies of 2003, and most notably it shows Tarrantino to be adept at action directing. Will The Bride carry out her plans and give Bill his just desserts? But of course, the amazingly choreographed action makes this movie. . Honestly, it might be the best action movie of the 2000s, at least for me. And Tarantino has a lot of my favorite movies.

Even the non-action parts are some really good stuff. Will The Bride succeed and get her vengeance and will she kill Bill? This movie oozes with style and beautifully choreographed action. No music really adds a lot to it. Now she must wreak vengeance on the team of assassins who betrayed her - a team she was once part of. But the fun action and style leads the whole way. Four years later, 'The Bride' wakes from a coma, and discovers her baby is gone.
And honestly, it might be my favorite besides Pulp Fiction. A lot of it is showcased in the Crazy 88 fight and the few fights before it. Think an amalgamation of chop-socky, sexploitation, samurai, spaghetti Westerns, anime and cop shows of years past, and you get the heart of Kill Bill. But there's also the opening hand to hand fight scene with Vernita Green which is also very well edited. Also along with Buck, and other fun scenes. Getting to Bill will be an ultimately rewarding experience for Beatrix, but can she get through Bud and Elle first? And it's bloody, very bloody.
